Exclamation another VDC/SLIP/SES issue <HELP!>

hey guys and gals..

just experienced a VDC/SLIP/SES issue with me 04 G sedan.. when i first start the car, its only the SES light, but then as i drive both the VDC and SLIP lights come on as well..

i noticed that from a full-stop, the car feels super hesistant to go, to the point that i have to push the gas pedal harder than usual to go, so then once it hits 2nd and 3rd gear, it feels as though im trying to race someone (and im a total MPG friendly/light foot when it comes to driving my car)

took it to a shop--prior to resetting the ECU and all that because i began to feel helpless after searching other threads on this same issue and not find the same symptoms..

now theyre telling me that in order to even start finding out whats going on, that they need to order a whole new gas pedal assembly because the sensor is not functioning and that nissan only sells it as a whole assembly, and not the sensor itself.. ~$400.

does this seem right? or anyone have any ideas? please help..

sounds like BS to me, i never heard of this and having to replace the entire assembly for it, i would swing by a Infiniti or Nissan dealership to have the codes etc checked out.

what is the code being thrown? normally its the throttle body assembly that causes that....more than the app sensor...but it does happen.

Is this one of those things that "could" be resolved by disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes?
