At a local body shop: "That's some ride ya got there, what kind of Mazda is it?" - with the Infiniti emblem on the grill

Some dude in a pick-up at a red light: "Watchya got under there, a hemi? Sounds real nice"

I hear, every couple of days, mainly from blacks and hispanics:
"Is that a Mercedes?"
"I like that Benz bro!"

And then most women: "What kind of car is this? It's pretty"
Yup, that night sucked. I woke up the next morning with my shoulder scrapped up and sore, then cops wonder why an abundance of people don't like them and have no respect.

you only get the coupe sedan comparison because if its not modded the sedan doesnt stick out.......you can fix a sedan up really nice obviously since there are a bunch on here

if i needed the convenience of a four door i would have got it, but i didnt so hence the coupe

as far as the 6mt vs 5at well ahem mines just funner to drive if i wanted it again for convenience i would have got an auto for the traffic around me

i get compliments about how nice/awesome my car sounds but thats about it. so far nothing negative though, except one coworker who thinks modding cars is dumb but has stupid 19' chrome wheels on his SLK 230

^ That's my EXACT response to that question (which comes up all too often)

Actually I got a really weird one once... He asked what Infiniti it was and I said "G35"....

him: "Sedan?"

me: "Yeah, a G35 Sedan"

him: "I thought they only made that in a two door?"

me: ...

A lady that works behind my office drives a nice Mercedes refuses to believe that my car is almost 6 years old and has over 70,000 miles. She hasn't seen my bumper I guess.
^I get asked if mine is new... or "what year is that, 08?"
People don't believe it when I say it's 8 years old.

Dude... you just proved his point!

All Janik did was say what his normal response to a question that a lot of sedan owners get, you're the one that jumped all over him about a statement that wasn't directed at you.
And technically... (hate to break this to you but) the coupe actually IS heavier, more expensive, less space and more expensive to insure.

I've had people ask if it was an Acura or Lexus before... thankfully nobody has asked if it's an Altima yet... I dread the day that happens.
Then I'll have to figure out where to hide the body :/

Oh, another dumb question I've got a couple times (black roof)
"Hey is that roof glass?"
My standard response is "fooled ya! "

never really had any negative comments. I do get alot of looks. Probably the best was the guy at the drive through window, who said my wheels "were very nice and spiffy."

and i didn't refute any of his claims but added the same comment everyone makes about the coupe which was also not directed to him... and since you are directing those claims to me right now, let me answer by saying...

#1 "heavier"... no problem, i don't load my g anyway, just 1 pax
#2 "more expensive" ... no problem. i have money..
#3 "less space"... no problem... i have my 4runner for that
#4 "more expensive to insure".. no problem. see#2
