getting a sponsorship

So I sunk my nest egg into buying my 04.5 G coupe and the mod bug kinda carried over from my S14. I don't wanna half a$$ it or eBay the hell out of my 20k baby. I've seen a lot of posts about people getting sponsored and I wanna know how hard it would be getting my little white coupe a sponsorship or testing prototypes.

Considering the 23983489729844723 modded cars out there... Unless you know someone, have a good reputation from previous cars or for some reason stood out from the rest of them, I'd say improbable. I have a sponsored friend and he didn't get there by just knocking on doors... He spent a LOT of money before he got people noticing his ride.. And even now he still has to spend a lot of money.

And 20k for a 04... Was it like, new?

+1 sponsorships are no walk in the park. would be different if the car was BRAND NEW model but since the car has been around since late 02 *correct if wrong* tons of companies have already done the R&D for parts...

If you had to ask that question, nobody will sponsor you

yea sponsorships are pretty hard to get. especially full sponsorships.

my truck was sponsored by 6 different companies but even still it was not a full sponsor ship. i was still in charge of painting it and the rest of the body work.

like mentioned above. your best bet is to just look on here in the market place and wait for people to sell what they have for cheaper than it would cost brand new.

So much fail.

Sinking "nest egg" into a car.
Paying $20k for an '04. (unless it has less than 5k miles on it)
Expecting to get sponsored in a stock car.
Expecting to get sponsored in a common, 6+ year old car.

Now, if you picked up one of the first GTR's in the states, you'd have sponsors under your desk trying to get their parts on your car, of course, your car would travel car shows for months without you driving it, but eventually, you'd get it back with free parts.

Well the car only had like 26k miles when I got it so it was like new and I. Think for 18k plus all the tax and licensing stuff I got a good deal..... guess I better start saving my pennys. Thx.

Sponsorships aren't worth it. You will be forced to promote the company and put their ugly stickers on your car. Then you have to attend car shows, car meets and crap like that a certain amount of time a month. That's just way too much work for a "free intake".

It would be cheaper if you just bought the crap you wanted in the beginning. And if you can't afford it, you should have bought another car. There are several cars out there that cost less to mod and can get better 1/4 times.

Instead of spending 20k for an 04...
