Nismo 350Z vs. G35 Coupe (& a Nismo w/ low miles at an auction sold for cheap!)

This comparison are on the two extremes (super luxury or super sporty) of the same platform.

I was wondering if anyone knows how the ride in a Nismo 350Z compares to a G coupe. I like everything about the G except my only peeve is the high seating position. Do you sit significantly lower in the Nismo? I do like the compliant ride of the G and I hear the Nismo is stiff BUT... is it unbearable for daily driving?

Someone in SoCal picked up a 2007 Nismo w/ 14k miles with starting bid of $17983 at a California Tax Board state auction last week. I found a G35 Coupe before then. Just wondering what you guys would have shelled out for it?

Probably about the same, maybe $19k max. Buying a car pretty much blind isn't my cup of tea. Chances are the guy got an amazing deal on that car, but you don't want to be the guy who shells out $17k for an acution car and have the motor and transmission fail on you the next week.

Some are willing to take that chance, some aren't.

I've owned both an 06 G coupe and and 08 Z. I loved the G, much more luxurious. However the Z was waaaaay more fun to drive! Overall the quality of the HR Z was much better mechanically. I did really miss the nice interior of the G but if I had to do it over again I would buy the Z over the G.

As other's have said, that's an incredible deal for that Z! I own an '07 350z but not a Nismo, and it's my DD. I've never been much into the Nismo's for their harsher ride but I get by with mine just fine and I love this car.

Check what number Nismo it is then track down the previous owner on the Z forum.

Nobody buys a nismo and doesn't subscribe to my350Z.

I dunno on the Z. If you want really sporty + 2 seats, there's sportier cars to choose from (S2000, Miata) that can be had cheaper. The G may not be as sporty, but it at least has a rear seat and trunk that are functional.
