Quick Question - G35C Growl???

Hello I'm new. I'm looking to buy this g35c ASAP but I have a quick question considering I'm new to these cars. Its a 04 g35c, bone stock. Is it normal for these cars to have a growl while driving in low gears like first and second? I can't explain it other than it sounds like a growl. The owner said its normal, he is the original owner. Is this normal?

There's actually two growls, the exhaust of course which I don't believe you're referring to and when the VDC activates. My coupe sleeps in my garage so that's when I hear that particular noise/sound when starting her. Only lasts a second, although I've never timed it doesn't last long.... Yes, it's normal!

He said it was just the exhaust but I'm a DSM guy, I'm used to turbo 4g63s and g4cs hybrids. I've never been in a car like that before. I was going to buy an Evo8, a logical choice for a DSMer but I couldn't find a nice one. I've never been in a car that had an exhaust sound like that before. At first I though his brakes where eating up his rotors but his rotors looked fine.

I was inside the car driving so it might have just been the exhaust?

....^....Is it safe for someone in your condition to be driving anything? Having done research on DSM and it's disabling effect on the human mind you should be under constant medical observation not driving any vehicle! You've never heard an exhaust sound like ours, what cave have they been keeping you in? lol

+1 lol.

OP yes the 'growl' is normal, it's the signature exhaust purr on the G35C and FX35. I was sold the moment I started up the car.

What is a VDC? I'm a noob here so I'm not familiar with the acronyms yet.

Yeah Diamond Star Motors. I drove a 91 Eagle Talon TSI AWD to be exact. I will post an intro about myself, my DSM, and my soon to be g35c once I get it.

Yeah that was what I was thinking of doing but I can't find another 6 speed manual g35c in my area. A newer model with a revup motor will sound the same as a 04 model right? Or do they sound a little different.
