help me get a new set of OEM 19s

my name is shawn and i am on the forums a lot but i dont post too often. i made a thred a few months ago about my "bad luck G" which was my sob story about my car being robbed and backed into by a truck " https://g35driver.com/forums/g-spot/...ad-luck-g.html

well the bad luck G strikes again. tuesday i was driving down a main road coming up to a red light going about 20 mph when some d1ck cheese in an audi decides to go ahead and merge INTO ME . he smashed his driver side front wheel/quarter into my passenger side door, rear quarter and rear wheel. i will post pics later but they will make you want to cry as i almost did. this guy is lucky i didnt spill his blood all over the pavement. his buddies in his car kept apologising to me about ****ing up my ride while the driver stood by his car smirking and never once told me sorry.

ANYWAY this is what i need help with. when my car and wheel was fixed after the first jerkoff hit me months ago i noticed that the refinished wheel looked just a little bit darker than the other three but i didnt think much of it. then i ran across a thred that talks about the stock RAYS being painted in a lead based pait which makes it impossible to color match them exactly without using a lead based paint. knowing this i talked to my body shop guy who told me if i can get that in some sort of official form from infiniti he can probably justify the insurance company buying me four brand new rims instead of just fixing the messed up one this time. i have tried calling my local dealership and the guy on the phone had no clue. he directed me to consumer affairs and asked me to call back with any answers so he would know lol. well they pretty much said go **** yourself.

has anyone been in this same situation and had success or can anyone point me in the right direction? i may be dumb for even trying this but i'm trying to see some good in this whole situation instead of being depressed about my coupe being all smashed up and driving a rental for three weeks. thanks for reading

There's a couple possibilities here Sean, give this information to your insurance company and let them deal with the Audi's insurance. That's what you pay them for, isn't it? If one wheel's too dark, they may have to paint the other three, (which I wouldn't like) or have them all replaced so you're satisfied. Demand that you want your car done right including the wheels!

I have a set of OEM Rays for sale. They were professionally repaired (removed all curb rash, nicks, etc.) and powdercoated silver in June. They look brand new so if your body shop is willing to go this route, shoot me a PM and let me know.

Get your repair guy to state to the Insurance Co. that all 4 wheels need to be done (or replaced) because proper paint matching can't be done any other way.
on the other hand, it makes perfect sense so the Insurance Co. probably won't go for it.

That's kinda funny but I think you have me confused with someone else. I'm definitely a male and don't think you and I have ever PM'd.

Was the whiner hot though? After all she is local to me.

lmao thanks for the advice. If i can get this to work out in my favor the new rims will most likely be purchased from the local dealership to keep everything legit.

i will keep you guys updated and hopefully i'll have news of success soon. if anyone happens to run across an article about the RAYS Forged rims being painted with a lead based paint please let me know.
