I have a thread about this noise, but its not just at 60- its pretty much whenever the car decelerates and passes through 2200-1500 rpm. Best way to describe noise is "rattle snake".

^Might be a bad catalytic converter. I have the same issue, something has come loose inside of my right CAT. It hasn't tripped any codes yet.

And yes, my HKS Y pipe scrapes all the time.

^Sorry, i didn't mention - I have top speed headers, JDM test pipes, JDM y-pipe, and RSR GT2 cat-back. Its coming from Y-pipe flex pipes for sure.

I doubt if many members here have your exact set up. Easy fix, go to a muffler shop and have them weld a bracket in the area where you're draggin....problem solved!

Muffler shops can replace those flex units and have the ability to install so you're not dragging. You still may need a bracket unless somewhere in your system you have one that's not attached. Why'd you let this go so long....?

My MR Y-Pipe scraped a lot on speed bumps because I was dropped. It really bothered me and I finally saw how much damage was done when I replaced my exhaust. The cats were also pretty beat up lmao.

Exhausts hang low on the g35. Mine for sure did, and i'm 100% sure it was mounted right. If you drop your car and get an aftermarket exhaust, scraping is something you should expect. It's almost unavoidable unless you don't drive onto driveways or speedbumps.

The flex section of my y-pipe was pretty beat up, but no leaks or noises. It worked 100% the same as the day I bought it. I sold the y-pipe to another member here and I'm sure he's still doing fine with it.

Here was my y-pipe

If you buy the right aftermarket exhaust system eliminating the y-pipe you'll be high and tight with no worries about dragging. I'm referring to a real cat-back dual system like HKS. Yes, you'll still need to 45 degree driveways/speed bumps but that's all part of being lowered....
