found this stuff in the trunk. Looks like HIDs? For reverse lights?

What is it wired to? Definitely looks like a ballast.

Not sure. It runs straight to the battery from the relay, and there are wires running all over in the rear body. Guess I can pull the tails and see if they are indeed HIDs for reverse lights, but thought I'd ask in case it was a common thing to do.

Simple, unplug it and see what turns off (prob for leds in the tail lights)?

They're probably load equalizers for the LED tails. Basically, they fool the rest of the circuit into thinking that the LED's for the rear turn signals are regular bulbs like the fronts, so they flash at the sane pace.

idk... the load equalizers ive seen look completely different
