New hood installed, give me your imput. I'm on the fence about it.

I bought this hood some time ago and just never installed it. I had recently decided to sell it and while in the process of taking pictures of it yesterday I ended up installing it. Part of me likes it and the other part of me does not.

After installing the hood I took a quick drive to check for rattles or vibrations and noticed that the hood is sturdy and has no issues. I ended up at the parking garage where I work and I took a moment to snap some pics.

The reason I got this hood was because I figured it complimented my current trunk pictured below:

This is the part where most of you will probably compliment or flame me. Don't worry I won't be adding any crazy canards, wings, or even roof spoilers. The overall result I want is similar to this only with my current grill, bumper, and the addition of a CF roof. Having the entire hood raw CF is too much for me, so I want to paint it LR following this paint scheme. I also do not like the harsh upward slant of that lip so I will be adding bondo to create a softer slant instead of a crease. This along with the paint should hide the hood lip a little and help it blend in just a bit.

This last pic is just an example, even thought the paint job is different on the hood, notice how the paint stops just before the upward lip of the vent. I plan to paint that lip like the orange G above.

Other similar paint schemes:

With a black roof I think it would be kickin.

Your car is really nice man, one of my favorites here if you don't mind me saying so.
Also agree that you should stop the black just past the vent..

Usually I'm not a fan of black hoods - another fad I wish would go back to where eve it came from. If you have the flow over the top through the trunk, however, in some cases it works. I think this is one of those occasions.

You mitt want to post a before pic so we can get a feel for the options available. I will say this - black trunk with OEM roof and hood can look really goofy too. My opinion only.

Nice ride.

looks good, similar to the scheme I'm going for but I don't have a hood yet... I am running the roof overlay though and although it's not cf it still matches with the trunk well.

Either do a black roof or get rid of the hood and do a wingless oem..
