Anyone else?

Also, I just pm'ed meatbag about vibration issues with his ACPT driveshaft and he reports none whatsoever so at least that's reassuring that our platform should be able to avoid the issue. Especially since I know that a 1 piece unit for the 3k GT guys and some Subaru guys created resonant vibration. For example on the 3000gt platform some guys would report of vibration at exactly 110-120mph.

^^^acpt's primary business is drive shafts - I feel confident in their quality of work (I just don't have the ***** to forfeit my OEM for it) - what car did meatbags have one made for?

This is a cf composite company making a drive shaft - there is a little concern there...

As for pitching in for mock-up shaft - is MT the same specs as AT? and is coupe same as sedan (I think the answer is yes, but not positive).

MT is NOT the same as 5AT. I had to buy a 6MT for my swap. I still have my 5AT lying around I could use as a test but Id rather sell it than just give it up

it's doubtful that a G owner would ever need one - so you could be sitting on it for a long time (if not forever)... maybe the OP will buy it as mock-up for CF (the CF profit will more than cover initial expense of OEM shaft)...

If OP doesnt do it, I'll check with ACPT to see if it is a viable option through them.

Ohhh how about some quality CF doors. The OEM doors weigh wayy too much. So that would be good for the guys looking to save some weight while keeping the interior stock!

its all the crap thats in the door that weigh the most... I wouldnt be willing to lose power windows, speakers, locking mechanism plus add more noise...

all true, plus cf is not exactly very good with impact resistance, tensile strengh yes, but I would not want to be t-boned in a car with carbon doors and no rollcage...not my idea of a good time. Besides there are already doors made by seibon.

I doubt it, but if he wants to its available to ship. We'll still need a 6MT one...

Why don't you wait 6 years before you start your complaints! lol

CF under parts are kind of a dumb idea, they're get mangled so quick.

Can't make a difuser like Mark posted out of anything other than composite... its not the "look" that I care about, its the function. I don't see how its gonna get mangled - if I run over something that will destroy it I have other areas of the car that would be damaged.

It took 3-4 years before there was a bumper for 03-04 that I was interested in - and that's only because we were lucky that rookie responded to the pleads from me and ttrank.

Moral of the story = wait another year or two then beg like crazy.
