any way to disable the windows from going down the 1/2inch when you open the doors? I just got tint, and it's screwing up at the bottom cuz the windows go down a touch.

You can't, it needs to move to open the door.

pop the hood, close the doors, then disconnect the neg terminal on the battery.

they do a really good job. I've known the owner of the shop for years upon years, I've seen plenty of their work. It might not be messing it up, but its causing it to stay wet at the bottom where the seal rubs on the window.

In the winter time here in the Northeast, I was always concerned about the window freezing in the closed/up position. On my drivers side especially, it seems to hit the top moulding.
I figured out if you close the window all the way, then simply tap the switch down for a quick moment, the window will lower approx 1/8". By doing this, the auto down/up function is disabled. This will only work if you do not lower or raise the window. But in the winter here, I do not use the windows much.....

I have gotten so used to doing this, I can usually get the window down a hair, and never have to worry about the up/down function giving me trouble. Never had any wind noise or leaks as well, even when I wash the car.

Just a suggestion.

Have to agree w/ lightsout. If your worried so much you can always rent a car, bike, or bus around.

I think that 'feature' is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen on a car. Prime example of techno bloat.

as long as you let the tint set and dry after it was installed then it doesnt matter how wet it gets later on assuming it was installed properly.

I've had my front windows tinted twice by the same shop and never had a problem with the window messing with the tint . I even go back to my normal use of the window the day after its tinted. The method GR8TG35 suggested should work though.

Well not so much won't open but it binds.

You could pull your window fuses if it bothers you that much, by the time you find it though the tints will have aired out.
