Drove to work, 42 miles this AM. I've got the Conti extremewinter contacs. They work well with my X. I passed a Murano on a secondary road that was going too D_ _m slow. Tires make all the difference. I only used the snow switch when stopped on hills for a light.

So if I wanted to take a quick trip up to PA on Falken FK452's (summer tires), I would have no luck in driving around (i.e. sliding everywhere)??

If you have summers once the temp goes below freezing the summer compound hardens and there will be little to no grip.
