The only Skylines that matter are the GT-R Skylines (or GTS-R for the R31). From the C-10s in the late 60s to the last of the R-series before the current "Nissan GT-R" we have in the states (finally). The 350GT may be called a Skyline, but very different leagues. If you own any of the Skylines in the previous "R" series and it's not a GT-R you probably don't talk about it (you don't see people bragging about their R32 GXi Type-X with the 91hp CA18i do you?). It's a lot like having the base model Lancer and bragging about your p.o.s. like it's an Evo.
Likewise, we don't have one of the "good" Skylines regardless of what you want to tell yourself.

Don't get me wrong, I love my car (or wouldn't have spent so much fckn money on it.) but regardless of what Japan decided to call it... it does not perform (out of the box) anywhere near the R series or GTR.
I wasn't sure at first but.... the forum members have decided and spoken on re-badging a G35 as a https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-cou...skyline-3.html
I would take the opinion of a fellow G35 owner over someone that doesn't know **** about our cars..

OMG! We do drive skylines! In Japan Nissan Skyline is it. There are no more R34. Except of the older models. I seen it in Japan. When i came back to the U.S., Now i see Infiniti G35's all around. Did you know that the Acura RL in the U.S. is the Honda Legend in japan? Just like the Acura TL is the Honda Inspire in Japan. Why don't we call the RL Legends anymore? 1995 was the last year the U.S. called that a Legend and called it RL. The G's are the Skyline and that what's sitting at the dealers in Japan.

Infiniti G35 = 11th gen Nissan Skyline, the 350GT
The "real Skyline" (in regard to the 10th gen and previous with turbos and inline 6 and such) has been essentially ported over to the GTR line in Japan and elsewhere.
Why is this hard?
Here, let me Google that for you.

Wow I had to have a look at the date of this thread I thought it was from 2003. Calling it a skyline is gay weather it is the same as the JDM version or not. Please go tell me what your title or registration says...... Infiniti g35 and it is hilarious that if you see pictures of a V35 in Japan( the cars chassis code in japan or USA) they try to be USDM and badge them as G35s

But reality we are Infiniti G35s, by the original window sticker, the bill of sale, the title, the registration, the stitching on the seats, the emblem on the steering wheel, the emblem on the clock and all other accounts it is an Infiniti G35. Even the web site G35Driver....not Skyline 350GT Driver, in North America we ALL own G35s
