Oh be careful on base. I hear a lot of thieves like to steal and brake into cars when your deployed. And yes this happens a lot on base. I hear stories about it all the time in San Diego and camp Pendleton.

+1 if you guys don't have a secure storage lot (I mean one that's manned 24/7, not just fenced and locked) find a buddy with garage space or pay for professional storage somewhere off post.

A red coupe is what I would have bought if I didn't think I needed AWD. The red ones are the fastest.

That's good that you'll take care of him. I just don't want him coming back from a deployment and finding his car on blocks (if they are that nice to even do that). That is sad that i can't even trust the military on base. Were all get a paycheck but have to steal other people's sh*t! WTF!!!

Haha drug rings. Prostitution rings. You name it and i have seen a report on it.

Hell the guy in charge of teaching me down at the MP academy for us just got brought up on 38 charges. Three of the charges were assault with a stapler.

The sad part is the navy uses long term parking lots that are open to everyone. A ship is hard to miss when its out of town you know. Thats when cars and wifes get vandalized.

Welcome and thank you for your service. I have a few buddys of mine in the Marines and I was going to join the Air Force, actually after taking their aptitude test I qualified for AWACS but I decided to pursue college and go from there. My cousin was in the Navy roughly 6-8 years ago.

Stay safe and see you around on the boards, buddy.
