How fast is that new IPL G?
I been looking online for some numbers...anyone seen what that new IPL G is doing for 0-60 and 1/4 miles times?
350HP at that weight should be lower 13's I would think. Will they make that car in an X version?
I saw the new M runs low 13's at 108mph....wowowow. Gotta wonder if they would ever attempt to squeeze that v8 in the G one day! Would be good for a stock 12 second car I would assume.

I'm not sure about # 's but i know it wasint a major gain from the original G37 .... The IPL is 348 which is respectable but not what you would have expected ... Should of been a little more... Im not sure i dont think there is a X version but i could be wrong. But yes would be definately interesting to see a V8 in a G... Hopefully Infiniti has some good plans for the future
Seriously think about it, the new IPL G is $15K more than I paid for mine new and has 60 more advertised HP which may or may not be true. Is it really worth $15K more? For $50K I'd rather buy a used Vette or for a third of that drop a LS9 in my wife's!

If you price a regular 2011 G37 coupe 6mt with options it comes to $50,440. So the price of the IPL is about right for what it is. I believe the IPL Grubbs had was $51,xxx and an automatic add in a 6MT and your probably looking at $53,XXX.
Road and Track December 2010 issue states the following
"The extra horsepower of the engine doesn't become apparent until you're high in the rpm range. Therefore, don't expect faster 0-60 mph times. According to Nissan, the IPL G Coupe gets to 60 mph about a tenth of a second quicker than the stock car."
And Automobile Magazine Dec 2010
"This car, though, is just the initial effort. Next will come a convertible (likely with the same modifications) and then, probably, IPLs based on the M56 and the FX50. Infiniti is only starting the sketch. It will be a while before the picture of the Infiniti Performance Line is complete."
So basically its just a starting point. Who knows what the IPL will end up as when Infiniti is done.

The IPL is not ground breaking news for the VQ37VHR.
Think 370Z NISMO Edition...
I'm glad Infiniti finally jumped on the NISMO performance bandwagon. Exciting times ahead for Infiniti owners, but....
I heard the same. Much talk about it. Here's one example:

Final decision will be interesting.

"The base price for the IPL G coupe is $48,825 for the manual-transmission model and $50,725 with the automatic."
