Wheel Choice

So I have the opportunity to swap wheels with a local, straight swap with no money involved... Just wanted to see what you all thought?

I will be keeping stock height for awhile, and not get spacers until summer

My wheels are the stock 18's with brand new Michelin sport tires.

His are 18x9.5's tires are 245/40/18 falken ziex new with offset of 35. Perfect condition

My car with my snow wheels/tires on... just wanted to show my new headlights and clear corners

The wheels I have that I will be trading

The wheels He has that he wants to trade me ( in the last pictures they are dirty)

What do you guys think, Would you do it? Would they fit/rub? would they look weird with stretched tires and no drop?

Terrible photoshop... they would be a bit lighter then this.

Keep the OEMs. They would fit and wouldn't be near rubbing. Yes it would look weird. Drop the car first then wheels.

So your saying they would fit, but would just look a bit weird... if I don't get wheels Ill probably have to just get spacers once the weather gets better

Keep your OEM, they look alot then those other wheels, IMO. Drop your vehicle and get spacers.

I say keep your wheels. In the long run when or if you do sell your car, you'll have your stock wheels to put back on the car.

Right. I think Mitsu shares the same bolt pattern so the wheels should fit. The specs are weak and would look off on your car. Especially with no drop, stretched tires and sunk wheels. Keep the OEMs and drop the car first. You can push out your OEMs with spacers to give it a more aggressive look.

hmmm... interesting everyone is saying stock, I would've thought it'd go the other way. Im just completely up in the air between the two. I would much rather have another set of rims but $3k for the wheels I want is WAY outta my price range. and since no money would be exchanged thought this would be a good way to go.

Now here's what im thinking.... The stock wheels look pretty good, and look oem obviously. Now the aftermarket ones obviously dont look oem which can be a good thing but can also be a bad thing (if that makes sense) but may look a bit off when the car isn't super low.... but I also like the style of these wheels.... I just don't know yet

Thanks for the serious reply's its much appreciated!

What kinda wheels are they anyway? Are they staggered? I still think OEM will look better for the moment. I mean you could rock them but look silly with no drop, sunk wheels, stretched tires, etc. Your choice

I like the aftermarket ones.. The only OEM wheels I really like are the 19 inch Rays.

Don't do it!
Keep what you have the Michelins are 100% better than his Falkens trash tires....and that's just one reason not to trade.
