Maybe a mod or two???

I am thinking about doing some simple bolt on mods on my BONE STOCK 04 6MT coupe...

Maybe just pull a few more ponies and thats it...

I did a search but my situation is a little difft...I just came from a mid 10's fox body mustand turbo and DO NOT want that kind of power or anything near it. I am looking for some simple bolt-on's that give the car 20-30 more RWHP and that is it.

I DO NOT WANT TO MESS WITH THE EXHAUST AT ALL...LOL. I enjoy how quiet this car is on the highway.

Any thoughts gang? How about a retune as I know stock tunes can be restrictive.

Please list mods with links if possible. I am ready to buy 1 hour ago...lol.

That's a great plan. Just get ready for the slew of "just get a drop in filter and the revup airbox" comments.

I have a fuse for sale. It increase the amperage and gives the ecu more power, giving you faster acceleration. No one knows about this. the guy selling intakes and turbos don't want you to know about this trick.

Because it only coast $35 shipped. And it gives your instant boost. The guys at "sprint booster" is selling something like this for $300+.

I designed and mod this myself. It's tucks under the dash so you can't even see it.

Lol. Serious answers please. Can these cars be tuned easily or is a shop needed?

This is the most logical answer thus far....^....I would add one more, there's 10 HP available by replacing the OE cats with HFC's (high flow cats) and it won't change the exhaust note that much. Tuning our VQ engines is best done on a dyno by professionals.

Thanks gary. Does anyone make a kit for the plenum and intake? Brands? Best place to buy?

^ get a motordyne plenum spacer. and not much to say about intakes, they're almost all the same. And yes hfc would be good for you. Check out the vendors on the site for all these items.

You can't do better than MotorDyne for the plenum spacer, 5/16" spacer will add a few HP and you'll be able to keep your OE engine cover. Intake, you have a wide variety to choose from but Stillens CAI/Z-Tube combination is the only one with CARB certification and doesn't have heat soak issues. Riverside Infiniti is one of our sponsors and can get both these item 800-919-8130. Ask for Rick and let him know you're from DRIVER....

Well, as far as the intakes go u can check out r2c intake. I have one and it's the only intake that I have found that has less maintenance than any other intake. I also, have a motordyne 5/16 plenum and r2c intake.. Put it on a dyno and i gain about 10 to 12 rwhp.. my next mod is going to be the berk HFC

i like my afe stage2 intake and MD 5/16" iso-thermal plenum spacer.
HFCs will be a good choice without changing exhaust notes much. and there are a couple diff ways to go about tuning.
