Actually the VQ35DE non rev-up engine in the V35 runs 10.3 to1 compression ratio.

 

Ask a friend that knows how to drive to teach you...

 

well if it makes you feel any better I only get about 10 mpg, and my car only has 44k miles.
That's just inexcusable

 

actually ppl who say about the gas needle being all messed up were right.

I put 6 gallons of fuel and after just 75miles the empty light came up again, but I kept driving and got another 35 miles while the needle was on empty.

I didn't want to push it for fear of getting stranded on the road so
I decided to fill up the tank to know for sure how many mpg is actually getting.

Also notice the needle doesnt go all the way up till F when full, so am definitely sure the needle is off.

 

It sounds like to me you need a full tune up in a bad way. That means new spark plugs, wires, everything....It might cost a little $$ but it will b well worth it in fuel prices later on.
