best way to store a g outside?

best way to store a g outside?

Going on a 3 month trip to Australia in a couple of days. anyone have any tips on storing my g outside? any special things i have to do in general when storing a car for a long time?

well, if you have the money you can put it on a storage. Or if you want to go cheaper buy a car cover that will cover the whole car and then buy tarp to put over the car cover. That will work best for out side.

definitely a car cover or put it in storage...I personally would put it in storage and pay someone to keep it in their driveway/lot

Also if you can try and get someone to turn the G on once in a while so your battery wont be shot when you come back. Also let the fluids run their course around the car as well.

I've stored mine outdoors longer than that. Put some extra air in your tires so you don't flatspot them, hook up a battery tender to keep the battery from dying. A car cover is nice is to protect from sap and stuff, but if you have a clean place to park it, that's not necessary, though you will be stunned by the amount of dust.

public storage is only a dollar the first month. not sure how much it is after that

Johnny, a good carcover is over $200= I'd find a secure garage where you can store it for 90 days. Couldn't cost much more than the car cover....hopefully! G/L

3 months ..... go with storage company. Its more peace of mind. just disconnect the battery and your set. i couldnt stand to let my car sit outside for 3 months .

I'd have a tough time leaving my G outside for more than a couple days straight.
