Spl ftmfw!!!!!

Living in Austin has a multitude of benefits, and having the SPL headquarters here is one of them. I stopped by to pick up a set of endlinks and struck up a conversation with the owner. I mentioned that I had the V2 front camber arms and he replied that they were offering free upgrades to the V3 parts for V2 owners. He asked if I wanted an upgrade kit and of course I was already drooling before I could answer. I walked out of the shop with my precious endlinks and new tops for the arms with a bigger and beefier ball joint, 4 new spherical bearings, and new caster adjustment loops.

All in all it was a good day.

Wait, exactly why is there an upgrade for the V2 A Arms? Is there something wrong with them?? What did it cost for the upgrade?

Basically the V3 arms were slightly redesigned and the "upgrade" for the V2 is parts from the V3. He said they redesigned the arms to be stronger and to eliminate noise complaints from V2 owners. I don't have any noises or knocking associated with the A arms so I was surprised to hear that some people had.

The upgrade kit was FREE!!!!!!!!!! You might want to contact SPL if you have the V2 and see if they'll ship you the upgrade.

Don't I wish. I was hoping to get a deal by buying locally, but they charged me the website price. No complaints though.

For anyone who's curious here are some pics to compare the differences between the V2 parts and the revised V3 parts. V3 are much beefier.

Sounds like you and I are lucky bastards. I think I'd rather have Tony close than SPL but beggars can't be choosers. I guess I do have UpRev though
