Question Need some ideas...

Recieved a fix it ticket for license plate...installed front license plate, need to go to police station-sign it off...problem is: I have tinted windows, I don't want to get cited for it. If I roll em down while I'm there would the cop ask to raise em up. If anything, just say cat peed in car, needed to air it out? Or, came back from gym, fresh air? Guess it really depends on officer?

Let me know if you guys have any ideas...

Thanks

Sunny/cloudy up here...about 60degrees, nice day to drive w windows down haha

I guess I'm banking on the fact this cop needs to just sign it and get back to work asap.

If I'm not mistaken, your window only has to be halfway up for them to check their tint.

My tint was randomly checked (Passing by Time Sq Security Checkpoint, and I have no tints), and the cop told me to roll up my window halfway, he stuck his hand in and looked in from the outside, so most of those excuses you suggested won't work, if they check it that way.

yea, as I stated earlier. Either a) cop signs off front plate goes back in office, no convos...or b) he signs it off and asks why are your windows down? hiding something?

Depends on cop I guess...

I'll let you guys know how it goes, going to popo station later today

I dont think cops would ask you to roll up your windows or roll up halfway. What did you do at the time you got the ticket? Now, do it the same. Just roll it down.

See Nchima even after all the tard comments by our members, getting the ticket written off was easy and without complications. That officer is there to verifying your violation was corrected, that's all....!

I highly doubt he asks you to do that, he isn't gonna do more than the job just signing off on the ticket.... But there is always that douchbag. Again I don't think he is gonna say roll em up and do an inspection on your car

Really just depends on the cop. Some of my friends got written up for tint when they went to write off another correction, others were asked to roll their windows up and got a ticket for tint, and some got away with just having their windows rolled down.
