Hey! Noobie wants some help!

Hey Looking into buying a G35 this spring? what to look for when buying one of these sexy ladies? i heard oil burning, weak trannys, weak clutches, horrible gas mileage, engines go bye bye on some of them? what is the best year that had all of the stuff taken care of? really want a manual but by no mean if the auto is more reliable that means i have to get one.

So some questions? what year to look for? coolant system is good on them? timing belts? water pumps go bad? bad suspensions? rattle etc? diffs?
thanks for the help guys

get 06+ so you don't have to buy projectors later on

Holy crap if you think our cars are that problematic you may want to try getting a honda, buddy.
Kidding.

Every make and model has their issues, but you'll never take away the classiness of a G.

Oh, and 06 ftw.

Please search. seriously. Save us and yourself all the headaches.

I wouldnt worry about any problems just find one under warranty. unless you like the 03-04 interiors better go with an 05 and up or 06 and up for projectors and a different wing

correct me if im wrong but 05's are where most of the oil consumption issues are.

Its pretty much a tie between the 05's and the 06's. I actually have an 05 and haven't had old consumptions yet at im a 41k.
