Whats goin on guys. I just came across Duplicolor Metalcast and was just wondering if anyone has ever painted their upper plenum or anything under the hood for that matter with this stuff. I found this link (posted below) online and it looks like it turned out very clean for him when he used it. I think it would be a great way to maybe dress up your engine bay esp. on the plenum, that is, if your not into the polished look and like the colors or black instead.

*Side Note* If the paint does work would the parts im painting have to be polished or can it be sprayed right to an oem plenum.

I have zero experience with it and just found out about it so any help, ideas, and input is appriciated! Thanks! Ryan.

You'd need to polish your plenum and get all the casting lines off before you paint it or it'll look like crap.

I didn't know that **** could handle heat... I wonder if his flaked off yet.

 

Ya I gotcha, as for his flaking or not I have nooo idea, it looks pretty flawless in the pictures he's got up though lol. It almost makes it look anodized.
