Your parents should be like[sic] "Why are you wasting so much money on cars, and why don't you invest your money in real estate?"

That said, the only reason you should ever get a new car is if you can lease it and write off the payments. Otherwise, you're always better off buying used (like a 2- or 3-year lease return, with warranty) so that you let someone else take the huge first-year depreciation hit.

I'd recommend a used C63 AMG, if you're still looking to upgrade. But the smarter thing to do would be to get another used G and put your extra money into an asset that actually appreciates in value.

I come in with a dropped G35 coupe on DPE's

Whatever you get you are going to want to modify it too so your parents argument doesn't hold much ground.

I had an '07 Civic SI sedan also, before I found the G. I miss the lighter and more flickable feel of the civic (I'm used to smaller, more nimble cars) and the 30 mpgs, but it's a tradeoff for the awesome luxury and torque of the G An Acura TSX would be the perfect "in-between" car of the two, as it has the luxury amenitites of the G (leather, heated seats, dual-zone climate control), with the mpgs and smaller feel of the Civic.

Im surprised 370z wasnt mentioned. I would get the 370z over g37 any day. Also, 370z seem pretty rare in my area. With some minor upgrades to the performance and exteriors, you will have one of the sickest cars on the road.

+1, its a good looking car and the 6mt is pretty fast.. Id either get another 06 g coupe or new genesis coupe... M3 would be third just for upkeep costs, but looks and performance kill! GL OP and hope to see you cruising around is something soon.
