HKS USA Closing
This community has gone down the drain in the past 2-3 years. I've been here for a while and the amount of people rocking fake ****, modding for the sake of modding, etc. has increased so much. It's inevitable as the car gets older and cheaper to buy, but still sad.

At one point HKS was a respected company, just the name reflected quality in aftermarket parts for our Nissan/Infinitis. And then the shocker about their quality control surfaced with the crossover restriction in our $1500 exhaust systems. Send it back for a replacement was the only response from them....Oh yea, and with a receipt. How many members did that, my guess is zero. Instead I bought a Magnflow crossover (x-pipe) and had it welded in at a cost of close to $200 for the complete job. That's $$ we didn't need to spend! Do I care that HKS left America, dumb question!

Did they offer to replace the whole exhaust or just the H-pipe? And I'm assuming you have to pay for shipping? I still have my original box and reciept but it sounds like a huge pain and I'd imagine it would be very expensive to ship back to them.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
That's true and indeed sad but inevitable as you said. However, there are still a great group of people on here that love their G, understand taste when it comes to mods, and are extremely passionate about their cars. There is also an insane amount of information about Gs and for that I'm grateful. I will always be a member of Driver, but definitely see my time in here dwindling as the BS gets thicker and thicker.
