EDIT - Thought about it again. You're probably right with all the people rocking Varrstoens, X02, and the like. We're screwed
This community has gone down the drain in the past 2-3 years. I've been here for a while and the amount of people rocking fake ****, modding for the sake of modding, etc. has increased so much. It's inevitable as the car gets older and cheaper to buy, but still sad.

Instead I bought a Magnflow crossover (x-pipe) and had it welded in at a cost of close to $200 for the complete job. That's $$ we didn't need to spend! Do I care that HKS left America, dumb question!

I feel you Gary on the quality control thing and how you shouldn't have had to. And its not like when people sent them an email about the issue that they just said your fuked, they offered to replace it from what I saw in the H-pipe thread.

Did they offer to replace the whole exhaust or just the H-pipe? And I'm assuming you have to pay for shipping? I still have my original box and reciept but it sounds like a huge pain and I'd imagine it would be very expensive to ship back to them.

The website you show is not how the exhausts are designed and we have been selling this exhaust since 2005 for the G35C. The 350Z exhausts have been in production since 2005 as well. This could be an isolated problem in which that customer can follow the standard warranty protocol for warranty procedures. The customer will need a copy of their receipt. The 350Z/G35C Hi-Power Ti exhaust systems carry a limited 3 year warranty against manufacture defects from the original date of purchase and covers the first owner only. HKS will determine whether a repair/ replacement is necessary after the product is shipped back for proper inspection. Thank you.

Thats a response a member got when they sent HKS an email about the crossover pipe.

That's true and indeed sad but inevitable as you said. However, there are still a great group of people on here that love their G, understand taste when it comes to mods, and are extremely passionate about their cars. There is also an insane amount of information about Gs and for that I'm grateful. I will always be a member of Driver, but definitely see my time in here dwindling as the BS gets thicker and thicker.

They offered to replace the whole exhaust system at my cost of course but that's not what concerned me. I was super suprised at their lack of concern for a company that once put out quility items. It was like, "Oh well" just send it back with a receipt. Why would I have the box it came in, that was left at my muffler shop. In my garage if it's something I can't use, it's gone!
