Can Anyone tell me where is the best place to learn the mechanics of g35?

Hi guys, I am looking into buying a 03-06 G35 MT.
I was wondering if there is a good place to understand the mechanics of the car. i.e. how the engine works, the components, some mods, and what the parts under the hood mean and do. Is there a website for that? or a book?
I been reading a lot of tuner magazines, but most of the time, I dont really understand what they are talking about. So what is a good place to start?

Stick around on this site, you'll learn by simple browsing and reading. It's not going to be an overnight process, but you'll learn.

Welcome to DRIVER!

Once you've purchased your G35 read the manual then spend hours here on DRIVER absorbing every thread in the technical section. Every day move on to another area of interest. Once you've figured out the terminology used you can do a SEARCH on any subject you can think of, the answers are there....enjoy!

Lots of DIY video, too, mostly from Driver member 'bythabay' and they are very good. Google them. Also lots to be learned from spending time under your car!

oh so you want to know what the function of say, the radiator of a car is right?

you want a handbook or guide that lists what each part of an automobile does right... Here's three

Headlight- makes sure you can see at night and warn other drivers you are approaching.
Radiator- cools down your engine by constantly flowing engine coolant and if this is broken your engine will overheat and you will see smoke coming out of your hood and is really bad for your engine
Brake fluid- gives braking ability via hydraulics i think

your best bet is to grab the factory service manual, some tools, and start wrenching on your car.

1. Read the stickies on the tech area.
2. DIY jobs - watch some videos on this link
https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...eo-series.html

Working on your car will be a huge learning curve. Good luck.
