I use Red Line Fuel injector cleaner every oil change which would be slightly less than 4 times a year. Most autoparts stores carry it so it's not hard to find.

That's a waste of $$ unless you're tuned for it! And higher octane rating won't keep your injectors clean and working properly....

When you say you use it every oil change. Do you mean use it and drive around BEFORE you change your oil. Or right after you change your oil.

I use techron additive or throw a can of seafoam in the gas tank. Any other tips out there to help with keeping the fuel system clean.

Probably when he changes his oil, he adds it..

And it really doesn't matter.. It's not like oil changes affect your fuel injectors and how clean they are...

Seafoam 100 miles or less before an oil change and then a bottle of Techron afterwards or whenever sometime after.

I use Seafoam, one bottle every 4-5K miles in my tank, and run it thru my vacuum line every 12-15K, but only 1/2 of the bottle.

I DO NOT put anything in my oil but good synthetics like Castrol Edge or PP Ultra with a K&N filter. I change my oil every 7-8K miles and my filter every 4-5K.

>90% of people don't know or truly understand how oil additives work, and a number of successful lawsuits against oil additive manufacturers are available to prove their ineffectiveness or potential damage to engine parts. Most car manufacturers also state that additives are not to be added to oil.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

What are you talking about?? Who said anything about adding things to oil? Why would anyone add anything to oil?

^^^ The question was asked if additives were placed in the oil- (to clarify a confusing post)- read the posts carefully. And for the record, hundreds of guys on the forum use Seafoam or other additives in their oil and run it for 100-200 miles just before their oil change. It's a fairly common practice, and this was what I was referencing, also.

Hope this meets with your blue ribbon standards for staying on point.
