engine shield....can i take iy off and leave my engine bare??

Guess you got a better tune than I did or did you get you're engine cover overnighted from japan? I knew I shoulda replaced mine with a JDM model.

I tried this saturday but could not get the nuts with the rubber covers over them off, any ideas?

Loosen the nuts pull it off....you cant do that without help leave your car 100% stock you are not meant to mod

As others have said it serves no real purpose other than to hide an ugly engine (when stock) at one time I had a carbon fiber cover on i felt it looked better than the OEM a little polishing and it can look great.

2nd gen were the 2006+ g coupes right? i can post a pic of mine if you've never seen it lol. but mine has the engine cover off, and it has plenum spacer, z tube, and jwt pop charger.. but it's still ugly!

no, thats a 1st gen....2nd gen is 2008+ coupe & 2007+ sedan.
