Bird poop stain help
Okay so I walked out of my office and there was bird crap on my car.
Not sure how long it's been there (no more than 8 hours I'm sure). But when I got home to clean it, there were still residuals of the avian feces on my car (Athens Blue).
I tried and tried but the stain wouldn't come off. Any advice on how to get it off? Can't believe it's already marked. It's not like I left it there for days.

Happened to my dark green Q45 a bunch of years ago--darker colors show it worst. But mine was on there for as much as a week while I was out of town. I polished and polished and couldn't get it out. Took it to a trusted body shop and they charged me about a hundred bucks to wet sand the hood. Got about 95% of it.
If polishing doesn't do it, wet sanding is probably your next step. You can do it yourself, but I'd take it to a pro.

For anyone that doesn't know this, bird **** is extremely caustic and will eat through the clear coat and eventually paint if left on the car too long.

Gotta ask yourself, "What did that bird eat?" You could try clay but you'll probably need something like ScratchX to remove the stain and then wax.

I had the same situation happen to me, I cleaned the area, use the clay bar and buffed it and it never got it completelyout. Now you can only see it at certain angles or light reflection. I will probably try to wet sand it then buff it again to see if it comes out.
uhhh not the same... the composition of the bird crap is what causes the effect, human crap wouldn't do the same.
Well, this is a great reason to fully detail your car.. I would first wash it, clay bar, polish it then wax it.. Even the bird would think twice if he's about to sh*t on your car again or you can just wash n clay..
Since washing has not removed the spot I would say that the mark is probably etched in the clearcoat. Depeding on the depth of the etching you may not be able to remove it completely. Time to use an abrasive. If you don't have a dual action buffer your best bet is Meguiars Scratch-X 2. It is pretty effective when used by hand. You will be removing clearcoat so don't get too heavy handed. After minizing the damage as much as you can apply a Glaze. Glazes have fillers that help conceal scratches and paint damage. Then wax or a sealant.
Since I took my car out of storage in April I've had bird poop on it 3 times. And every time it was either the day or day after I washed it. The first time it happened I JUST got done washing my car, walked inside the house to make some lunch, happened to peak out the window at my freshly washed ride and what do I see??? Yup, a big ole' pile of crap on my car. And not just a little quarter-sized blob either, I mean it looked like a freakin pterodactyl-readin a newspaper while he dumped-sized crap.
