quiet brakes..stopping

My $0.02, I used to use Akebono ProActs on my previous Nissans and they worked decently well. I've heard good things all around about the Hawk ceramics, which is why I'm putting them on my G. A word to the wise, though- upgrade to tougher rotors or those ceramic pads will wear them down too quickly. I put on cryo-treated Centric Powerslots but there is no shortage of opinions on rotors.

I've not had any noise from the stock pads, but I'm not sure if they're ceramic or not ATM.
A friend of mine runs Porterfield R4S pads on his Subaru. He's picky about his brakes & has had good luck with them.

I've installed stoptech street performance (309) pads on a couple of my family's cars and they have been the grabbiest AND quietest thus far. Not a single squeak yet (crosses fingers). One car is going on it's second summer. My Axxis ULT on my personal G35 makes a little squeak on slow/light effort braking. Hardly noticeable. My wife's ES330 has Wagner thermoquiets and they didn't start making light squeaking until about the 2nd fall which may not be the pads, but related to weather. A simple repacking and greasing of the mounting tabs may be the solution which I will do the next oil change/brake bleed.
My $0.02, these are not ultra high performance vehicles intended for track use. They are mostly daily drivers. No need to spend extra on fancy rotors and exotic brake pads. The ones I mentioned above are probably way cheaper than OEM equipment. I personally like grabby brakes and all of these are similar if not better than what the cars came with.
