Convince me not to buy a G
gas mileage sucks. my G35 coupe was only getting around 18mpg. my M56 gets 20 mpg. go figure, about a thousand more pounds, bigger, 2.1 more liters, 2 more cylinders and better gas mileage.
ride is harsh, road noise is rediculous, power windows and locks keeps breaking, stock stereo sucks....need more reasons?

I would rather get the IS350 / IS250 or the 2006+ Acura TL.
However the 07 Sedan is a big step forward from the 03+ sedan and coupe. But that's not saying much. It's like saying HIV is better than Aids.

is350 is the only viable option...have you driven a 250? you might as well just fall asleep at the wheel lol. and TL is wrong wheel drive.

And both are quite a bit more expensive, well beyond his $21K budget. The cheapest 335 on Autotrader is $25K, the cheapest M3 (2005 or newer) is about the same, but goes up very fast from there.
If I needed 4 doors I'd look at an EVO or WRX. Not as refined interior but much more fun to drive.
Why don't you tell us why you are looking at a G or what you want in your next car? Without knowing what you want in a car you'll get a lot of opinions that may or may not apply to you.

Get the G. It's a little on the gas hungry side, but all and all its a great ride and i'm very happy with my choice.
I wouldnt be a good candidate to talk you out of buying a G35 since I just bought an 04 this week. But it all depends on what you want/need in your car. I already have a toy with my sr20 240, I wanted a peppy sporty sedan to drive to work and back.
Great car for the price.
I've had no electrical or drivetrain issues with my 2005.
The road noise was excessive but good performance tires fixed that.
Gas mileage is indeed the worst I've experienced from a car with this performance. It really is dismal.
I don't understand why you want to be talked out of something you appear to have already decided on..
