Alright so moved into my new apartment complex about a month ago and before last night me and my wife haven't really had any problems.

Around 4-430 this morning I woke up to the sound of a car alarm going off, im a heavy sleeper so it took me a while to come to and it wasn't until my girl told me it was mine that I truly freaked. Even wierder is that before I got to my front door it stopped? Saw nothing really when I went out and found no damage when I checked it this morning in the light...

My question is if its possible for our alarms to go off accidentally or how easily they can go off? Anybody else have a problem like this or have suggestions bout what might be the problem or if you do think it was a breakin attempt? Any help is very helpful

Not very easy to set them off.. Unless you accidentally hit the key fob. Just park in a well lite area within site of your apartment..

I always park it closest to our apartment. Only reason we know it was mine cuz my wife looked out the window and saw it was mine.

Our alarms are pretty damn hard to set off. I personally park my car right outside my bed window, even if I'm blacked out drunk I will wake up with my car that close.

My alarm for some reason keeps going off at random. At one point my neighbor told me it went off 20 times in one day so I had to disconnect the horns.

Since you live in Orange, CA. I'd have a motion/shock sensor added to your alarm so when they try to tow your G the alarm will sound. Even around the college isn't a great neighborhood, especially the trash north....

I've never heard my alarm go off for any reason besides me playing with the panic button. My car has like 5 dents on it from stupid drunk lifted-truck drivers banging their doors on my G35 too

Your car was alerting you to get up and take her for a drive.
