New Tint Job

Just moved from Michigan to Tampa Florida, and want to get my windows tinted since it's legal here. Looks like the limit is 28% (wish I could get away with darker...).

Any recommendations on where to go or what brand to use? The Infiniti dealer said they have a lifetime warranty, price is $250 for standard of $499 for some "nano-technology heat reducing tint". Anyone in the Tampa area have a good/bad experience somewhere?

Also, if anyone has any ideas/pics of how dark 28% is that would be great. I'm guessing you can still see in the driver side window pretty good at 28% (not sure...)

Thanks!

dealership isn't usually a good place to get tinted, you can likely get it for much cheaper. You'll prob want to search google/yelp/your area's section on driver to see if there are better places. I can tell you those prices are really high, but comparing cali to MI probably doesn't make any sense/compare.

Lol WTF $500 for tint? I wouldn't pay more than around $200, and at $200 you can get a respectable job done with great tint brands and lifetime warranty on them.

Haha yes but is it "nano technology"? Just kidding... thanks for the heads up, I'm going to head to a few different places today and scope it out

That was the STEALERSHIP, of the $500 they'll keep $300 and the tint guy might get $200 if he's lucky. Why would anyone consider the Infiniti dealership for anything other than warranty work? I've got 35% 3-M tint and it's been on since '04 and still looks good....no color change. Todays economy that new reflective tint shouldn't cost more than $200 at a tint shop.

They have tinted 6 of my vehicles and I've never had an issue. Maybe it was 150 an not 140 I can't remember, pretty close. They have always done me right.Check my "Garage" for the latest tint from them. I don't remember the % but it's dark.
