Just though I'd point out that the 07 COUPE is the same as the 06.

Wish I stumbled on the thread months ago. I'll probably be ordering one up real soon. Thanks for tackling this!

it's quite an amazing transformation. i really can't stress that enough. and the "hack mods" previous to this were decent. they made a difference, but to call this a "difference" is quite an understatement. Transformation.

I just ordered one last night. I'll post up a review once I get it installed.

I have a question regarding clutch rod misalignment after fitting and adjusting your modification bracket, as from what i can see it basically shifts the fulcrum point and unless there is another part that i haven't seen? it will operate the clutch rod at an angle and change the loading, do you not think it may lead to accelerated wear on the master cylinder after a while due to misalignment?

Thumbs up

Tricky-Ricky - That is exactly why the brackets are fabricated as a 2pc design so the top bracket stays fixed to the under dash support while the main bracket can be raised or lowed specifically to address the clutch rod mis-alignment issue that occurs as soon as you modify the fulcrum length. This would indeed put the clutch rod in a bind and rapidly destroy the master cylinder if it wasn't addressed in the design. Once you've adjusted the clutch rod angle there is a cross bolted clamping system that rigidly locks the 2pc brackets together along with the lower mounting hardware.

Special thanks to LoSt180 for pointing out my mistake on the 07' G35 Coupes. You are correct they did not receive the update to the VQ35HR in 07' like the Sedan

I see, as i had only seen this pic,

I hadn't realized that the complete peddle bracket was necessary, hence my comment, now i have seen the whole thing i understand, having a JDM model, i decided to just re drill the pedal and make a dropping link to realign the master cylinder, which achieves the same result.

Yes, that picture is from the very early prototyping on this project. Pretty much all of the parts in that pic were updated multiple times since then. The bronze bearings and retaining clips remained the same though.

Just an Update - The 07' G35 Coupe's are now supported by the current kits along with the 07'-08' 350Z's.

Gen 2 G35 Sedans should be ready sometime in March now.
