It's a sad day... peace to his family as well as the other drivers who suffered today...

 

I was attending the race. The videos on TV didn't do it justice. It was a mess. Sucks thinking that you witness a wreck like that and later find out someone lost their life in it. RIP Dan Wheldon....

 

Terrible, sad news. When Greg Moore was killed in '99 we stopped watching Indy for a few years, but have since been to the races 2-3 times in Edmonton and followed the results a bit more.

I'll be honest and say that I've never seen or heard of him before, but this is a terrible tragedy. R.I.P.

 

I've been to and watched a lot of Indy car races, the 13th lap of this one yesterday was one of the worst accidents I've seen. RIP Dan, God keep your wife and kids!

And I guarantee you somewhere an idiot was cheering because there was a wreck. Happened when I was at Lowes Motor Speedway that year a tire came over the wall into the crowd and killed a spectator. Had to hold my dad back from whooping the guys a$$. Sad day when anyone in motorsports dies. RIP
