OP, that's a pretty good price. I've been driving for 7 years, no tickets or accidents on my record, 06 G35 Coupe 5AT and I pay $114 per month with Mercury in CA for full coverage.

You don't even want to know what mine is. You yung'uns will cry seeing how low my rates are with the coverage I have.

just fyi a new G37 coupe costs on average $2999/yr insurance due to high theft rate. As high as some 90K mercedes SL. So keep the G35! Mine is $95/month $500 ded comprehensive coverage with 100/300/100 coverage. Since everyone is uninsured (and underinsured based on this thread) I feel better having 100K UIM in case I am injured by an at fault driver.

I don't recall reading a post where anyone said that they are uninsured in this thread. Where I live, that is illegal and your car will be impounded and license suspended.

I purposefully omitted the limits of my coverage. By doing this, don't assume I am underinsured.

You don't have an accident on your record, but it looks like you're betting several hundred a year that you'll have one, albeit at 4:1 odds.

I also don't recall seeing anything here or anywhere else to support a $2999 average for covering a G37. I pay half that for low deductible coverage on 2011 WRX and G37x plus a '93 F150.

Well, it impresses me to know that a good driving history does eventually pay off in low insurance rates.

2006 Infiniti G35
2007 Saturn Outlook
50/100/50 coverage on both
$100 deductibles for comprehensive/collision
aftermarket parts included in policy
Free towing/roadside/windshield coverage
$724/6 mos.

Call your agent and ask. If they can't get it down, start shopping around. I'm not sure what the average rate is for someone of your situation in NJ, so you might even be paying less than average. But make sure you try to get any discount you can. Good student discount if you're a student, a discount for your degree if you have it, good driver, lo-jack, renter's insurance, multi-car, anything.

A lot of companies ask you about your situation when you look for quotes on their website, so they automatically tell you common discounts you qualify for. But some aren't as common so it helps to ask if you're speaking to a rep on the phone.
