Because you are your own enemy there. If you have that many tickets, you're doing something wrong. Not being judgemental; just pointing out the obvious here. Your rates are high because you do things the law doesn't allow. Slow down, drive right for a few years and by 25, you might be able to choke those rates down a bit.

Been there, when I got my first (new) car I was 22 and got hit with paying $2000 for 6 months with AllState. I had a clean record too, lets just say I didn't renew with them and hopefully will never have to use them again. I've been with Geico for about 10 years now. Sometimes you just have to shop around for the best quote, you have to control those tickets though.

yea, well of course i was young so i didnt think much of it everytime id get a speeding or reckless ticket and now im paying the consequence :/

believe it or not $453 is the best possible rate i couldve got... the day i signed my policy with geico i had called a couple companies before hand... some companies werent even able to give me insurnace because of my record and another company i remember was asking $650 a month!! i love my G and all but for $650 a month id rather ride the metro.

Before I got my G I was gonna get a 2007 charger SXT and the insurance quote if it was under my name was $2700 a year and my 06 G was $1800...the G is a way better car I wonder why it was lower than the charger Even though the G costs more

0 accidents
6 month premium is just about $700 ($232 bi-monthly)

That price isn't that bad for someone of my age in California

I felt I had to revive this to update my costs.
2 people/2 cars (girlfriend, corolla) - $840 for a 6 month premium
24 years old (becoming older has it's perks!)
