HORRIBLE Experience Regency Infiniti / Clutch Sticking !!!

I'm the second owner of a Black Obsidian 2010 Infiniti G37S 6MT, I bought the car with 8000 KM in September from the original owner whom purchased it from Regency Infiniti. The first two months of having it was a blast AWESOME car. The problems started to begin after the 2nd time I brought it to Regency Infiniti (Vancouver B.C., Canada) because of some chattering noises coming from the transmission, they diagnosed the car and said it was coming from the flywheel/clutch area and they replaced the flywheel under warranty. I drove the car home and parked it everything seems to be fine, no more chattering noises at idle with the clutch disengaged. The next night I took my car out and as I was driving down the road less than 2 minutes away from home the clutch pedal gets stuck to the floor and wouldn't come back up, it was doing this intermittently so I figured the tech didn't bleed the clutch enough.. sh*t happens whatever. Next day I call in and told them about the issue, they also figured it was probably an air bubble in the clutch line and told me to bring the car in, had I known about Infiniti's roadside assistance I wouldn't have driven my car back to them in the POURING rain with an unpredictable clutch pedal. Anyways I got there safe, dropped my car off to them in PRESTINE condition with no cosmetic damage and was told my car should be ready by the end of the day, also to mention they didn't do a drop off inspection of the car either. End of the day comes and no phone call weird? It was late already and I didn't bother calling them as I thought they needed more time to check everything over. Next day I went to pick up my car around 5PM just before closing time. The adviser said they told Infiniti Canada the clutch pedal was sticky so they could replace the Release bearing under warranty also.. As we were walking out the door towards my car he says "Oh, Tony did you know there was damage on your passenger side because it wasn't here last Friday?"... First he says the wash guy Norbert found it than he says the tech that worked on my car found it ?? Really?? The tech that works on my car is also the wash guy or you guys just have two Norberts??? It was late and I didn't think I could do much at the time so I just took a picture of the damage before I drove off the parking lot. The adviser insisted I should head over to the auto body shop that does all their body work 5 minutes away and let him take a look at it. Adviser also suggested that the best thing to do would to claim hit and run and go through my insurance.. F that.. I brought my car back the next day and told them I refuse to drive it and I told them to keep the car until something is done.

I talked to the Service Manager via Email for a good two weeks. He offered to pay my deductible of $300 for a hit and run claim, I refused to accept because I don't want to have a claim on my brand new car.
I also notified him that I put a claim in with Infiniti Canada Customer Service, and he said he had to withdraw his offer of $300 and felt that it was a FAIR and GENEROUS offer because he doesn't know how and when it exactly happened he also insisted I pick up my car as they could use the room on their lot. This got me pissed off, I never once lost my temper with them even after I found out about the damage and having to bring my car in so many f***ing times.. Infiniti Canada said they couldn't do anything about it and that it was between Regency and myself, so that plan got me no where.. So after all this f**king bullsh*t, I ended up having to claim hit and run with ICBC (Insurance Corporation of BC), ICBC doesn't think it's a hit and run from what I told them which was the honest truth. I dropped off my car cosmetically fine to Regency Infiniti for service covered under Warranty and it was returned to me damaged. ICBC is now investigating this situation as they don't believe it was a hit and run.

It's been a month since the first time I brought my car to Regency Infiniti in the beginning of November and till this date now, my car hasn't been repaired of the damages and i'm still having issues with my clutch. Even after they replaced the release bearing and bled the clutch again, the pedal still got stuck to the floor and felt even MORE sticky than before they replaced the release bearing. Even after all this sh*t happened, my car ended up being back there again, they said the clutch master cylinder needed to be replaced. I didn't pick up the car myself personally when they said it was all fixed and ready to go, I had the guy at the auto body shop pick it up for me as it was more convenient because he was going to repair the damages anyways and he was only down the street from Regency Infiniti. Currently I'm still waiting for my insurance claim to go through, I've been car-less for a few weeks now just until a few days ago when I went to pick up my car from the auto body shop since it was just sitting there anyways and the claim could take a few weeks to go through.. Guess what? Clutch is still f***ed and it got stuck 3-4 times as I was leaving the body shop.. I brought it back to them right away. This is what the service manager said about the clutch issue.

"Hi Tony, we have removed the transmission from the vehicle after checking it for 2 days and found that the clutch pressure plate fingers are rubbing against some mounting brackets. This compared to another pressure plate should not happen. We are flying one in overnight from Calgary today and should have it here to install tomorrow. I will email you when we have it in and confirm that we do not have any issues with the clutch. In the 3 days that we have had the car we did not get it to stick to the floor once and that is why it has taken some time and resulted in taking the transmission out again to check physically. Talk to you tomorrow."

Next Day

"Hi Tony, we have the part here and the foreman is working on it. It will
take him until the end of the day. I will road test it in the morning and
make sure it works without sticking. At that point I will email you and let
you know that it is ready. Have a good night and talk to you tomorrow."

Next day after I emailed him to ask about the car and if it was finished

"Let me check it one more time in the morning and confirm the repair is good,
I will email you then. Looks good at this point."

Next day

"Hi Tony, we replaced the pressure plate and then the pedal. After all that, the clutch pedal finally stuck down for Norbert on his road test. I can’t believe we have made so many repairs and still with technical assistance helping we are back to square one. This morning we talked to someone else at techline and they have had the same condition on another vehicle somewhere else in the country and they found that the solution to be a hose that collapses and doesn’t allow the fluid to return and as a result holds the pedal down. We have ordered the part but it’s coming from Japan, this means it could take up to 3 weeks to a month to get the part here. I am not sure if you want to take the car home while we wait for the part to come in or leave it here. I feel it would be safer at home. Let me know what you decide on and we will proceed from there."

This is what i've been dealing with for a whole month now, they've given me a Nissan Versa loaner.. Good trade eh? You gotta be f**king kidding me? 3 weeks to a month for this part? I'm sick and tired of this non-sense, i'm starting to think they've been f**king me in the **** since the get go. I've only put on about 3000 KM since i've had the car.. Any opinions/advice/help is very well appreciated. Thank you for reading and sorry if some of it doesn't make any sense as I may have forgot somethings and excuse my language. I will be adding more current and previous emails from the Service Manager..

It looks a lot worse in person believe me.

It looks bad in the pic. I can understand some leeway while they try to figure out what the problem is, but the fact that they haven't fixed the problem after having it brought in multiple times is pretty ridiculous. Hope you get it figured out.

It's very possible that the front was busted while the yayhoo that was test driving it or moving it to the service bays had a similar problem with the clutch and got all flustered and lost control of the car. Rather than own up to his mistake, he left it alone and mentioned it after the fact. I'd be p-i-s-s-e-d!

That looks pretty brutal Sorry to hear about the car.

Hopefully they end up doing something for you. I would be one very very mad consumer, and they would know it.

****, that sucks!
Had similar issues with a GM dealer here in town actually mine was worse i had fire in my engine bay few hours after i picked it up from them, sadly when you call and complain to GM or Infiniti they wont do ****, you have to settle it with the dealer which i find quite wrong and pathetic.

good luck and wish you all the best
sick ride though

That's a lawsuit if I've ever seen one. I would have left insurance out of it. Only you have to lose by that. Get an estimate and lawyer up. They'll cave the minute they see the lawyer's letterhead.

I had the same problem with my 05 6MT, where the pedal gets stuck. Just search up the The Ranger Protocol or what ever.

Here is the website, all you have to do is always change ur clutch fluid to make sure they are clean as ***

Eh OP... I'm a vancouver guy too. I'm not sure if you're over at niclub or not at all but we did go over some discussion about Infiniti dealerships recently (well, in the last couple months) and unfortunately from what I understand despite your negative experience it's one of the better ones in the Van area.

With that being said, your experience DOES frighten me- especially considering I have some cosmetic repairs planned also!

I don't remember the name of the guy I dealt with- wasn't the service manager... I think it was an assistant service manager. He seemed okay... but who knows until the work is done?

Good luck with your situation... I'd probably look elsewhere but it sounds to me like Regency is the best you're going to do in the region..

Regency Infiniti's customer service is great and I agree they're probably one of the better ones around. Just my shitty luck I guess. Anyways,I got the car back earlier than expected, damage has been repaired and the clutch feels better than ever with this new 'hose'. Pretty happy now, driving the G makes everything better lol. Thanks for all the input!

Glad they turned it around on you. Sounded like a pretty rare problem. Was in there a couple days ago getting my stuff done as well. To add a bit to the positive trend here they fixed my weather stripping issue and had the car back to me in no time. How was that body shop? I have some new parts I need to get painted and was thinking they might be the place!
