What to look for in JDM-land?

So, my company is sending me to Tokyo at the end of the month for 10 days. I travel a lot for work, but this will be my first trip to Japan. Just wanted to see if anybody had any tips on "rare" G35 parts / accessories that I could be on the lookout for. Also, if you're familiar with Tokyo, any general tips would be welcome too.

(Mods, sorry if this is the wrong section, but I didn't want to put it in Off Topic since it's somewhat G35 related)

I thought the R32 and R33s are legal for import at this time, just not the R34...

If you're staying in Tokyo you might get caught up sight seeing before you find rare parts haha. Seems like there's so much to do and see there.

It would be neat to find some totaled G and bring back some parts though.

Thanks for all the replies. Oh, I'm definitely going to be doing my fair share of siteseeing, but I'll be back a number of times this year, and wanted some opinions on what to keep my eyes open for. I didn't know the V35 Skylines had power folding mirrors. That will definitely be on my list (streets are very tight where I live). And yeah, it would be cool to get an r33, but that's not really in the budget for now!

I'll post some pics of any goodies I find.

I went to Tokyo in 2009 and there was so much to see and do I had to make a second trip in 2010 and that still wasn't enough! Get ready for culture shock! Luckily I'm Asian so I sort of blended in, but if you're not, be aware that Japanese people will make it a point to purposely avoid eye contact with you lol. As soon as I opened my mouth with my broken Japanese they realized I wasn't Nihongo and immediately switched to Be Polite To Gaijin mode.

The biggest auto-parts store is called Super Autobacs, located in Tokyo Bay, easily accessible by the subway anywhere in Tokyo. I missed out on making a buck because their Meguiar stuff was selling for $25 a bottle! I guess that's because it's imported and whatnot... but damn! You'll also find stuff like a cup-holder - but for French fries, and aisles of air fresheners. And I do mean AISLES.

Other must-do stuff:

Kobe beef steak lunch- yes, around $60 for lunch but damn you flew 5000 miles! And it really literally melts in your mouth!
Harajuku on Sunday mornings - Cute girls come out in their anime outfits, and if you walk a block or so you'll come to Takeshita Street which I call the most crowded street on plant Earth. *I showed a picture to my friend and she said she got claustrophobic just looking at it.
Tsukiji Fish Market - Wake up at like 5am and go here. You can watch them auction off just-caught tuna and other fish for thousands of dollars. And these fish are bigger than you lol. The go for a sushi breakfast nearby because you can't *get fresher than just-caught and served immediately to you.

There's a bazillion other things to do and my fingers are getting tired. PM me if you want more info.

I've been to Japan twice. If your going consider getting the JR Pass with that you can go anywhere you want in Japan, city to city without paying extra. Some cool districts to check out in tokyo:

Shibuya's a must check out the worlds busiest intersection (the scene from tokyo drift haha). Lots of cool places to shop there and a few clubs
Roponggi - lots of clubs there if your into that.
Akihabara - tons of gadgets, electronics, dvd/games and anime
Yokohama - 15 min subway ride from Tokyo, lots to see there
Odaiba - island outside Tokyo (I do believe it's a manmade island, someone correct me if i'm wrong). There's a giant gundam there and a few cool things to see there.
Kyoto - Get to see alot of historical stuff there, cool place but slow transit system there.

there's alot more PM if u need more info. Been all over Japan.

Super Autobacs is the place to visit if you're looking for JDM parts and don't forget to buy ARC parts for your G. Hope 10 days is enough time to pick up on the culture, lucky you're going back for more visits....Gary
