The funny thing is that the new Mustang v6 has as much horsepower as the old V8s, plus like you said, they get better gas mileage. I've always liked Mustangs, had an 04 GT and an 06 GT, which I had doing 12s with bolt ons, and if I was going to get a new coupe a Mustang 5.0 would be very high on the list.

You want MPG. Get an Evo.
My 03 Evo VIII had a fully built stroker with a 30r turbo. Pushing about 400AWHP. 400AWTQ. 91 octane pump gas. on a low reading mustang dyno.
If I took my car to get dyno'd where all the G35 guys go, It'd probably be closer to 450-470awhp.
It ran low 11's before the stroked out motor. possible 10s after that was built.
With that said, back to your MPG needs.
My 450hp evo was getting 30+ MPG highway. =)
Any tiny motor that is boosted will get good MPG as long as you stay off boost.
My evo is for sale though. Going back to a G35 because I'm done with go fast.

lol. unfortunately its true. a lot of guys seem to go to the high reading dynos for some reason. because they want to see "high numbers".
i'd rather see lower numbers on the more accurate dyno, than have some random bumped up numbers.
lets not get started on those dynapack (Chassis) ones
