As of September 16th of 2011, Jun from essentiallites has been working on my projector retrofit. It has been a constant negative experience of meeting him up to try and fix and/or adjusting the lights.Of the 7 months, he has disappeared on me twice. The last time i met him up, he took my projectors headlights out to take back with him to work on them (January 27th). I have received one email saying that he could not make it to the appointment because of some personal issues. Other than that, he has disappeared with my 500$ and projector headlights. Ive tried calling, texting, and emailing. Im not sure if hes out of the country, in jail, or whatever. If anyone knows what is going on with him, please do tell.

This is really beyond my personality, but i feel that i am being taken advantage of and told him i will take legal action if he doesnt respond in one week. Is this necessary or a bit of a stretch?

posted a thread on hidplanet and almost immediately, he responded and issued a refund. Although I dont agree with how his business was handled, it was within his personality to issue the refund, and I can respect that.

I'm not sure legal action is the right thing to do, but since you can't get ahold of him at all maybe it's necessary. Do you know where he lives or any of the people he rolls with?

 

yes, he works with my friend at a rim shop, but ide prefer not to get her involved since it is my personal business. other than that, i only know he works at http://www.essentiallites.com/

Just ask her when he works and show up while he's working? Sounds like you just want to make contact with the guy?

 

Pretty sure Jun isn't a member on Driver - he's a member (or mod) at HidPlanet. You should go talk to the admins/mods there to see if they can help you. No one likes scammers on their forums. Contact TRS if need be - they own the site & are wonderful at customer service.


Keep contacting him in all ways possible until you get what you paid for. Blow up the FB/website pages telling people your experiences. Your friend doesn't know if he's been at work lately? If that's the only way you can meet him face to face....he'll probably keep giving you the runaround until you force him to comply.


Just common sense and IMO. Was $500 the full payment? I usually only pay 1/2 upfront & 1/2 upon completion/satisfaction for services like these.

damn, they are closed today! TRS is where i actually bought my projectors from, and they were actually the ones that referred Jun to me =\
