idk bout spraying some kind of lubricant in the nuts. on top of that dirt and dust will collect in there more easily needing it to be cleaned more often. since i painted it id rather jus spray air, spray some water and stick my finger in there with a paper towel . maybe not even spray water jus use wet paper towel and my pinky finger. im asian i have small fingers

so the ac display is using plcc4 leds. I read a few of the led diy guides on my350z and my370z and they are using plcc2s so they dont have to change any of the resistors. you only use two of the contact leads. the radio nav controls use 0805s for the button back lights and the led indicator if its on (like ac and defrost) use plcc4s. the door switches for the other guys were 0805s but i just cracked mine open yesterday and found they are plcc2s.

i used blk touchup paint the one with the brush to paint the inner part of the nut and used the rest of the paint on the ear plugs. then when that ran out i used a sharpie on the rest of the ear plugs. the paint worked better on the plugs the sharpie kind faded cus i guess the foam soaked it up. oh well

for the plcc2s. if you want a different color you will have to look through their site

http://www.lc-led.com/View/itemNumber/88
but they are currently sold out with a 10 day lead time. Only bought 15 plcc2s to test to see if i could sucessfully learn to solder the smds. so im just waiting on the rest to finish things up.

you can find way cheaper ones on ebay though, i got these because they had the widest viewing angles. at least for the 0805s

It always comes down to quality accuracy when buying on eBay. You have to know what to look for, or go with a quality provider like above.

Gonna try these first

300 of these for 20 bucks

500 of these for 7 bucks
http://m.ebay.com/itm/251528079328?_mwBanner=1
400 of these for 8 bucks

Even if they are garbage still not bad for less than 40 bucks.
