anyone heatwrap their test pipes?

as of right now i've got the megan v2 resonated test pipes on my car. when i noticed the flex pipe leaking and the horrible sound of the exhaust leaking i wrapped the pipes until i could get new test pipes so that it would, somewhat, mask the sound. i've now got a set of MD art pipes and i'm thinking of wrapping them well before they're installed but, i'm not sure if i'll really need to. i don't really think it could hurt. i mean i've already got the heatwrap and if i decide to use it i want to go ahead and wrap the art pipes before i put them on because it's a real PITA wrapping them while on the car. what do you guys think? i like the way the heatwrap has muffled some of the more unwanted/ negative sounds that we all dislike from testpipes and i'm thinking it will make the sound more refined. has anyone used heatwrap and had successful results?

its all you really.

i wouldn't do it. because if i got test pipes. that means i don't care about how the car sounds. and it shouldn't even sound like a leak unless you got some bad pipes.

but since you said you like how it sort of "muffled" the unwanted noise, why not do it.

yea, i guess what i was really hoping for here is someone saying "oh yeah, i did it, sounds great." i think i'll wrap the pipes or resonator but, not both...only because i don't think i've got enough for both.

if they think it sounds great, its once again their preference. what sounds good to them, but not exactly be the same for you.

if you like the muffled sound, just do that.
