Are we looking at the same pics? The mule looks just the same as the current 37 but with the wheels off your local undercover police detective's Crown Vic. I'm just mad that there are great lengths going to improve mpg after I/we bought the VQ that gulps like a V8

lol yeah seriously, it looks like a regular G with crappy wheels. Not anything like a Toyota imo

do you guy ever read the articles?
It says that car is being tested at MB testing facilities in Sweden which leads to believe that it's equipped with diesel motor.
So it seems that they are using old body to test new drive train (diesel)
Styling has no relations to the upcoming G generation.

I was just interested in any styling changes so I just peeked at the pics. It's awesome that they are finally going for fuel efficiency in the G though lol.Originally Posted by JOKER

LOL i guess you guys don't know what test mule means. Test mule means, they just take the current body panels and just use there own experimental drive train and ecu for testing purposes, some times they use a experimental chassis as well.
Honda did the same thing when they were testing the nsx and put on s2000 panels on top of the chassis.
The current picture has no bearing on what the next gen g will look like in terms of styling.
More then likely there experimenting with offering diesel for europe and maybe a bluetec diesel of the US.

It's probably the diesel but it would be cool if they were experimenting having a real G IPL
