What do you guys think: G35 6mt or E36 M3 OBD1?

Well he could of done that knowingly and posted a thread on both a M3/BMW forum and here haha.
Also if he only posted a thread on here then he's probably leaning more towards getting a G35 and he just wants some extra comfort and encouragement to reassure him that he's making the right decision

I owned a OBD1 M3 (95) They are an amazing car, They have the 3L rather then the 3.2, but make almost the same power, less tq though. They are pretty easy to maintain, and parts are more expensive then the 3 series of same years. Stock M3's are amazing on the road, handle great, have good power. The OBD1 LOVES boost, easier to tune then the OBD2.
They are good cars... however.... you cant say which should I buy... you are either buying a 2003+ G or a 1995 M3? Its a No brainer, you buy the G, its 8 years newer...
however if you are in Love with the M3, Buy it... get it looked at by a couple of shops... (2+) shops one of them being a BMW dealer.
I
Id look at buying a well sorted out Stage 3+ Audi S4... make sure its well sorted out, or youll break your bank.(unless you wrench yourself)
You can find a Stage 3 B5S4 for about $13-$16k, Which is about the same for a GC6MT.
Difference is, a S3B5S4 can pull 11-12.3 in the 1/4, Gets better milage, and its AWD. Plus Parts for the S4 are inexpensive on sites like ecstuning and if you can wrench yourself, youll well... wont break the bank) Plus they hold their value, even after having 160+k Miles.
I owned 3 B5 S4's 2 were Stage 3, and its by far my favorite car ive ever owned... but my Single T G35 that I build is quickly catching up :P

I know a fair bit about cars including BMW's (being an older guy) and although I love German cars, BMW isn't one of them. The build quality and sharp depreciation are just two of my points that drive me away from them. They have some interesting designs, but, my sense is, unless you need the BMW hood badge, better cars can be had for less cost. Just my .02.
