I think I had a rapid decline in brain cells trying to process the crap I just watched... commercials like this make me facepalm everytime I see a Juke or a Rogue. Not because they're not good vehicles, but just the advertising themselves...

It's kind of like watching a fat kid dancing to your favorite song, the song is just never the same anymore

 

why so much anger towards a commercial? becuase there hunting motorcycles? It happens in movies all the time (italian job when there the sewer pipe with the mini coopers) does that mean you hate those movie too?

 

I'm biased towards commercials / movies where motorcycle's are viewed as the antagonist. What kind of irked me about this commercial was that the motorcycles seemed to dissipate / explode into nothing.

Reminded me of the Family Guy episode where Meg raced the horse and carriage, and the horse exploded!

Maybe it's because I have pride in being a rider, or maybe it's just ridiculous to visualize a Nissan Juke tail whipping / side-swiping / t-boning any kind of motorcycle cg'ed or real

You do know you spelled a certain swear word incorrectly in your thread title, right?

 

So the way bikes explode irks you but the Juke being faster than a bike does nothing for you?

 

I could care less about a vehicle mowing down a much of bikers like grass- it's just a commercial and I don't even know them.

Anyone got any other stupid commercials with which to feed our blood lust?

 

Well, no in all honesty. The commercial was fabricated using computer graphics, so it's not like a Juke could actually keep up with a 1000cc motorcycle. Media now'days likes to portray cars going as fast as motorcycle's now'days anyway. How many movies have I seen where cars (with the protagonist) running away / after a motorcycle and actually able to keep up or run away? What pisses me off is when they have the rider's crash into something or have them meet a tragic ending like they're just some expendable trash.

If they want to mis-portray their vehicle, that's fine with me. Just don't disrespect riders. This is all opinion btw, so if you feel otherwise that's cool. I don't mind if your driving a Nissan Juke after seeing this commercial, just don't run me over when I zip on by you with my 2 wheels
