Nah no fail, not every mod is for everyone. I wanted ART pipes really bad for over a year before I bought mine, but went back to stock cats after a few months because they were a touch too loud, not to mention they only gave me a 5/5 increase after a reflash of Osiris. Now it's back to the sweet purr of the VQ exhaust and I'm happy.

Keep replacing parts/mods until you find what you love!
Went to my tuner SpecialtyZ yesterday and had Seb replace my ART Pipes with FI HFCs and discovered I was using the wrong gaskets. Probably for 2 1/4" pipe rather than the 2.50" pipe I'm using. Burn/black ring around the inside of the gaskets showing they were restricting flow and possibly making rasp at higher RPMs. I'm back enjoying the sweet sound of HFCs and being able to breathe when my windows are down and zero rasp. ART Pipes make for a major stinky exhaust....Gary

...yeah i love mine heck of a lot more after zdays, they have about 3.5k on them right how and the tone is right were i want it to be, now for the rest of the exhaust i may be running the md y with the straight pipe/hfc to change out. will be moving back to ga with emissions and just thinking ahead that it will be easier to have both options and switch them out a a moments notice. i have a noticable rasp but that came after the ditch situation at the dragon -,-

i bought a set of megan headers from a local guy that got rid of his z before he could install them. after reading about how they produce little power over oem i decided to sell them.
as far as the rest of my exhaust, i had an ichiba hr Y pipe at first and it sounded pretty good but, the piping diameter was larger than oem and on exit it didn't flow great to my z midpipe so i sold it when i found an oem hr Y pipe. i really couldn't tell a difference. only in sound really i guess but, at the time i had megan resonated testpipes and they were leaking so all i could really hear is the leak. at idle my car sounded badass tho lol. i still dunno which muffler i want. i'm thinking of trying the borla dual setup. i just wanna maintain a nice oem sound with alittle growl so not quite sure what i want.
