^ That's true. It's just one of those things that I've heard of people doing. It seems like it'd be less noisy and messy too. I have no experience with S2000s at all, this is just what I heard and was afraid of which is why I went with a G (plus Gs are more practical as something to keep into my 30s).

It is an area of concern of course, it would most certainly be less noisy and much cleaner. If that's a problem though a hardtop is always an option.

Exactly. If someone sees something in your car they want....they're going to get it, regardless of convertibles, alarms, pitbulls, whatever. Key is, keep everything out of site. I owned a Jeep Wrangler for 6 years and didn't even have a top on it half the time...you learn quick to keep things you don't want stolen out of sight. No one ever messed with it.


Side note, if you're that worried about it, they do make removable hardtops for the S2k. Looks pretty sweet actually too.

honestly the miata is the best choice for better mileage and more fun... plus you can do tons of stuff to make them more fun for little money compared to the g and s2k
