you should be able to beat a rsx type r or s stock !!! If you having trouble then launch turn off the vdc hold the brake and gas to about 2000rpm maybe a lil higher nd let go of the brake and keep stomping the gas also manaul mode might help too ... If he's modded try getting a motordyne spacer taking some of the extra stuff out the trunk. Maybe an exhaust tp or hfc since your going boosted i say tp's more to gain rev up box or intake like you want also when you race stay around a 1/4 of a tank because gas weighs alot lol Also a/c off and windows up !!! If the rsx is boosted You'll never take him n/a my friend has 1 low 12's car on 8psi with bolt ons

 

He just has a type r motor high compression 11:1 r us thing.. But my friend keeps telling me his car is faster than mine n I act like it don't bother me.. We haven't raced yet but it's coming soon n I just don't want to look dumb!

type r runs a 14.00 flat with a pretty good driver

 

also did he just do the motor ?? or did he do the suspension and everything type r ?? the 14.00 1/4mile is from a true rhd type r with a pro driver

It's nothing but 18" wheels/tires and the "Red" Tokico shocks. You got the wheels, just get some Tokico D-spec adjustable shocks, and your good to go.

 

U gotta watch out with some of those cars. It sounds like he's opened the motor to get more compression. More compression = Vtec hits harder. Ive seen some k20 NA run low 10's in 1/4 with the right setup, running all honda parts (no after maket parts). I say put a 100 shot NOS and run him. Just don't say anything. lol

Stock type r. compression aroun 11:1 or so.. think he just got k pro tune. im about to go osiris.. i have osiris coming in this week but will only be able to run cypher maps until i finish wiyh my art test pipes.. my vb upgrade... before tuning on dyno. going twons in 12 weeks!

 

Thats normal compression for a type r u should take him unless he full bolt on bcuz kpro does wonders for Honda
