335 ftw

 

i was looking at 135i's last summer. I changed my mind when i read about all the problems people were having with the early n54 engines. I believe they made some minor changes in the 2009 or 2010 model year to fix those problems. And i remember reading that a while back they went away from the twin turbo model in the 2011. Sweet cars but they just seem like they'd be a much larger hassle then the G unless you got a good one

 

I feel like all we hear from is the people who have had problems, while the people who have no problems have no problems to report... if this makes sense..

 

335i is a small car compared to the G35 sedan.

Bought my wife a 335i a few months back. When we went to test drive them we started with a 335ix sedan. I did not realize how cramped they were. (she currently had an altima sedan which was spacious). We then test drove a 535i which was nice! It was a 6speed which she couldnt drive so we passed. Eventually got her a 335i convertible. Still small, back seat is useless.

I wanted the n54 or n55 engine over another NA VQ. She would have gladly taken a g35 coupe and looking back...........i probably would have been better off that way.
